Andrew Howe Joins the FIAT Team

FIAT has always played a leading role in sport and has now taken on board an exceptional new testimonial: Andrew Howe.

Turin, December 11, 2006 -- The current European long-jump champion collected a sparkling FIAT Punto today at the Mirafiori Motor Village, after signing an agreement with the carmaker. The agreement between FIAT and Andrew will last one year, and envisages a basic contract, prizes and special incentives in the event of important sporting success, plus advertising campaigns featuring the Los Angeles born athlete.
Andrew Howe has become a FIAT testimonial not only for his unquestioned sporting qualities, which won him the European long-jump title in August, but also for his image, which matches that of the brand perfectly. Howe is an eclectic athlete, who excels not only in the long jump (a personal best of 8.41 metres), but also in the 100 metres (personal best 10.27 sec.), the 200 metres (p.b. 20.28) and the 400 metres (p.b. 46.03).

The athlete, who was born in Los Angeles in 1985, has a very fresh, entertaining style, he plays in a rock band, and has a friendly, carefree personality, in other words, perfectly in line with the FIAT brand today. A brand that is close to the young and to the world of sport, enjoyed with a more relaxed and not necessarily competitive approach, paying attention to all the latest fashions, new trends and new styles.
